A taste of Palestine: Online Book Club Event (2nd Edition)

 

Join us in exploring فلسطيني food culture through a live baking demonstration and storytelling session for young learners

This special edition is a part of Arabically’s bilingual book club that will help your child read out loud, understand content in Arabic and English while working towards bilingual fluency. Do they have to be native Arabic speakers? No! Do you need to buy several books? No! Do you have to show up and participate each week? Yes!!!!!

Alhamdulillah, kids have an increased Arabic vocabulary, can repeat sentences well with minimal encouragement, and I find them using Arabic words randomly while playing or speaking!! They also come up to me and ask me what such-and-such is called in Arabic! This curiosity to know more and for them to have direct, immersive exposure to the language, from the comfort of HOME, getting over their fear of learning a new language, has been my main intention/focus and Alhamdulillah Arabically program has been a blessing to us in this regard!

They have grown tremendously in their confidence to just get themselves to speak in Arabic. They are not yet comfortable initiating a conversation but if someone else has initiated they will happily join in. I am amazed MashaAllah Tabarakallah. My daughter is really shy but was always enthusiastic about attending the zoom sessions or an experiment. Initially I could sense that they wanted me around to be on standby if they needed anything or so. But now they are super chill about it.
